After training on the use of Rapid Diagnostic Test aids, Nigeria's Community Directed Distributors are able to play an important role in diagnosing and treating malaria as differentiated from other fevers/illnesses such as pneumonia and diarrhea.  These volunteer CDDs who are community members can adhere to treatment protocols and guidelines and comply with performancy standards.
